I hope you’re all safe after last night’s flash floods. Our partners at FloodNet NYC recorded four feet of flooding in Hollis, and I know similar floods happened throughout Brooklyn and Queens. I wanted to share some resources with you, and also encourage you to do three things if you or someone you know was affected by yesterday’s floods:
Report damage to your property using this link: https://reportdamage.nyc.gov/
This is incredibly important. Damage reported through this portal is used by the city to unlock access to state and federal recovery funds that will be unavailable without sufficient evidence of damage.
Access City services through 311
Submit at nyc.gov/311, by phone at 311, TTY 212-504-4115, or VRS 212-639-9675
Share any photos of flooding to MyCoast NY: https://mycoast.org/ny/flood-watch
