Ready Responders Network
World Cares Center Ready Responders Network™ shares virtual information
to engage and empower individuals and communities working together to become
more resilient in the face of crisis and disaster.
How It Works
What Is a Ready Responder?
A ready responder is someone who has a regular job but, when disaster strikes, is ready to help their neighbors and colleagues recover from a crisis and emerge more resilient. The Ready Responders Network (RRN) was created to give them the tools and pathway to connect.
What Does the RRN Do?
The network offers resources, facilitates discussion, and builds relationships during blue skies. During a crisis, the RRN acts as a virtual emergency operations center by providing an outlet for communities to engage in a coordinated grassroots response. Through a virtual peer-to-peer network, the RRN calls on experts not involved at the scene to provide advice and subject-matter assistance to those with boots on the ground.
