Providing Lifesaving PPE to Ready Responders
At the forefront of training and protecting individuals, leaders and groups, World Cares Center helps ready responders take part in their own safety, response, and recovery. The ability to care for and protect the nation’s most vulnerable citizens depends substantially on the preparedness of the our ready responders. A large part of staying safe while responding is having the right protective equipment. World Cares Center provides free PPE kits to those who need it to stay safe. During COVID-19, WCC delivered over 500,000 PPE to frontline workers and volunteers, and continues to do so for current disaster response.
It is not only important to have the PPE needed to stay safe, but to know how to use it properly. WCC provides Just in Time training for essential workers and volunteers on what PPE is needed and when. Ready responders learn about respiratory protection, including being able to properly put on and take off an N95 respirator, conduct a field fit test, and implement extended use and or limited reuse of an N95.
