Module 3 Scenario
It has been several days since the hurricane hit the area. The volunteer reception center is in full operation.
The following has occurred:
a) A gas explosion has occurred in one of the local manufacturing plants. Critical information is being shared as activities are taking place on the ground
b) There are reports of widespread flu-like illness occurring in over 55 populations (volunteers and survivors alike)

-Communicating basic gas (natural) safety information
-Understanding and using universal precautions

Based on the information provided, participate in the discussing concerning the issues raised in Module 2. Identify any critical issues, decisions, requirements, or questions that should be addressed at this time.
The following questions are provided as suggested subjects that you may wish to address as the discussion progresses. These questions are not meant to constitute a definitive list of concerns to be addressed, nor is there a requirement to address every question
1. What information associated with gas safety should be shared?
2. What actions should be taken in the aftermath of a gas hazard/accident?
3. What training associated with this outbreak should volunteers be provided?
4. What personal/protective equipment and actions should a volunteer use to protect themselves from potential exposure to the pathogen?
