I am Executive Director of the Garden State Animal Resource Team. I have over 13 years of emergency management experience with County Animal Response Teams (CART). I am former Director of the Monmouth County CART and current member of the NJ State Animal Response Team. During hurricane Sandy I ran the Monmouth CART Shelter for long 4 weeks due to the devastation in the area. GSART works with the NJ Department of Agriculture and trains the 21 county CARTs and the State Response Team. We also provide training for our government partners and presentations for the public on pet emergency preparedness. GSART also advocates for pets owned by people experiencing homelessness. I am also a licensed emergency and critical care veterinary nurse for over 30 years.
